Mauthe Lake Kayak & Canoe Self-Serve Rentals are available daily 6am to Dark
Hourly rentals of single kayaks, tandem kayaks, and canoes! For extended rental times, large groups, or any other questions please contact us.
The rental station is located by the boat launch, which is west of the beach. All rentals include the necessary gear you will need to enjoy a safe paddle. Once you book and sign waivers, you will be provided combinations for the equipment. After your rental, please return all equipment and lock everything back up!
Mauthe Lake is a perfect lake for new paddlers and families to experience! You can explore the lake and then take a journey up the Milwaukee River and back. No motorboats or jet skiers are allowed on the water so you can enjoy a peaceful paddle clear across the lake. Heading northeast from the boat launch leads to the East Branch of the Milwaukee River, which is wide enough to paddle side-by-side while you enjoy the views. There are great fishing, photo, and wildlife spotting opportunities throughout this adventure! Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye.
